Formulation of Multiwire Magnetic Transmission-line Theory

چکیده
Timeand frequency-domain theory of multiwire magnetic transmission lines is presented for the first time. The familiar theory of electric multiconductor transmission lines (MTL) is based on the manipulation of two matrices, the longitudinal impedance and the transverse admittance. However, for magnetic MTLs, the key matrices are the transverse impedance and the longitudinal admittance. It is shown how the latter matrices are defined and how they should be used to determine the modal propagation constants and modal characteristic wave admittances that characterize the various travelling wave modes of magnetic MTLs. The theory is illustrated considering a three-wire system with three-fold symmetry. Simulation results, in the range 0.1GHz to 10 GHz, are presented, showing that the magnetic MTL can exhibit superluminal phase velocity and zero attenuation dispersion.

A Novel Method to Increase the Power Capacity of Transmission Lines Using Transformerless Static Synchronous Series Compensator
In this paper a transformerless Static Synchronous Series Compensator (SSSC) to increase the power capacity of a 230 kV transmission line is proposed. In order to eliminate the transformer, a 15-level cascade H Bridge (CHB) inverter is employed within the proposed compensator structure to inject reactive power to the transmission line. The theory of instantaneous p-q power using in the compensa...

متن کاملAccelerating Magnetic Resonance Imaging through Compressed Sensing Theory in the Direction space-k
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a noninvasive imaging method widely used in medical diagnosis. Data in MRI are obtained line-by-line within the K-space, where there are usually a great number of such lines. For this reason, magnetic resonance imaging is slow. MRI can be accelerated through several methods such as parallel imaging and compressed sensing, where a fraction of the K-space lines...

A model of the equations of two dimensional problems in a half space, whose surface in free of micropolar thermoelastic medium possesses cubic symmetry as a result of a Mode-I Crack is studied. There acts an initial magnetic field parallel to the plane boundary of the half- space. The crack is subjected to prescribed temperature and stress distribution. The formulation in the context of the Lor...
